Ah yes Mr.Monk always says this ... now our leaders are saying it... and adding its just not true.
Wait a minute is that all I needed to do in traffic court? I didnt run the stop sign... here's the thing its just not true.
I am tired so tired of hearing polititans say this and thats as far as it goes... here's the thing... why isnt it true... give me some facts.... oh wait a minute again... they dont want to give facts.. because THEY DONT HAVE ANY!!!!! They expect us all to drink the Kool Aid.... Not me I want facts... I was covering one presidental race and Mr Kerry said to the LA teachers... oh we will have unlimited money for you.... when i asked where was that money coming from I was told not to worry about that.... when I challenged that statement at this press gathering I was escorted out... and told this was a pr Kerry event... hmmm never did turn off my recorded.... guess what ended up in my story.
But it continues today. I worry about health reform ... we need it... but when facts are challenged in the version which was supposed to be pushed through and the question was asked about what about the older people the answer thats just not true.... GIVE ME THE FACTS. If they are there the American people are smart enough to understand and support it or not. I guess some will call be un american for this.... they didnt have this feeling when I had my reservations on the Viet Nam war... so for all of you who have suggested I am unAmerican I will work very hard to give you a lesson come election time.
We are a bright country... lets let the far right and far left fight each other and the rest of us can ignore them.... maybe then we can see some progress on important issues in the Country.
